Hi I'm Zoe Houghton, I began my career with Queensland's renowned Shakespearean Company, Grin & Tonic. As a core member of the troupe for two years I toured Australia-wide, performing Shakespeare's classics to thousands of young people.
My work with Grin & Tonic also included the mainstage production of Seasons at the Cremorne Theatre, QPAC and the inaugural performance at the newly announced Brisbane Powerhouse site of Henry VI Part 1 playing Joan la Pucelle opposite Bille Brown.
In 2000, I was offered a place at NIDA and during my first year was one of the main subjects in the channel 7 documentary series Drama School. This was aired in 2001 and charts a year in the life of Australia's most prestigious acting school, providing an entertaining and moving insight into what makes an actor.
Upon graduating from NIDA in 2002, I have enjoyed a vast and eclectic range of roles, taking me from the stages of the Sydney and Brisbane theatre scenes to the television and film sets and have toured to every state in Australia.
